What should I expect during my sauna session?
Each session is designed to be both relaxing and rejuvenating. You’ll start by warming up in the sauna (if you’re really brave, you’ll start with the cold plunge), then alternate with quick plunges into the cold water to enhance circulation and promote overall wellness. It’s a great way to relieve stress, improve muscle recovery, and boost energy levels.

How do rentals work?
If you’re renting the sauna for a private event or personal use, we’ll need access to a water source and a space where we can park the sauna. Let us know the location details ahead of time, so we can ensure everything runs smoothly.

What do I need to bring for my session?
For your sauna session, make sure to bring:

Why is the company called “Bergen”?
The "Bergen" in our name is named after Bergen, Norway, the sister city to Ballard, WA -- there's even a totem pole in Bergen to signify the connection. Originally, our founders were planning to operate out of Ballard, and they wanted a name that honored the strong Scandinavian heritage of the area. Though our plans have evolved, we’ve kept the name Bergen as a tribute to that connection.

How long are the pop-up sauna sessions?
Each pop-up sauna session lasts for 1 hour. During this time, you’ll alternate between the sauna and the cold plunge. Typically, you’ll spend 10-15 minutes in the sauna followed by 1-2 minutes in the cold plunge. This cycle helps to maximize the benefits of the heat and cold exposure.

What are the benefits of alternating between the sauna and cold plunge?
The combination of heat from the sauna and the cold exposure from the plunge creates a unique contrast that helps with muscle relaxation, improved circulation, detoxification, and stress reduction. It’s a fantastic way to improve both physical and mental well-being.
